These Terms are between you and YOMPAY LIMITED (RC 8121161), registered office 19, University Road, Yaba, Abule-Oja, Lagos State, Nigeria ("Yompay"). By creating an account or using the app or website, you agree to these Terms.
Yompay is not a bank. Wallet accounts are provided by 9 Payment Service Bank Limited.
Yompay provides a mobile wallet and related services in Nigeria, including:
Features may change. We do not offer gift-card trading or cross-border remittances as part of these Terms.
You must complete identity verification (KYC), including BVN and/or NIN, liveness, and other checks we or 9 Payment Service Bank require. Transaction and balance limits follow CBN-style tiers shown in the app (Settings, Transaction limits). You may apply to upgrade by submitting extra documents (for example ID, proof of address, selfie, and signature). Pending upgrade does not raise your limits until we approve it.
You must answer PEP and related questions honestly. We screen against watchlists. We may delay, restrict, or refuse the account where AML rules require it, including while we wait for source of wealth documents or a compliance review.
You must not use Yompay to:
Funding a listed betting company through the app, as described in section 3, is allowed. Using Yompay itself as a betting operator is not.
Fees are shown in the app before you confirm a payment. Limits depend on your tier, history, and regulation, and may change. We will give reasonable notice of fee changes where we can.
You are responsible for your device, passcode, PIN, and OTP. Yompay staff will never ask for your PIN or OTP. Tell us at once through the app or [email protected] if you think the account is compromised.
If you turn on auto-debit, you authorise Yompay to collect the amount and frequency you set. You can change or cancel that instruction in the app. Missed collections do not waive amounts you still owe a savings group under that group's rules.
First use in-app support or email [email protected]. We aim to respond within 14 business days. If you are not satisfied, you may escalate to 9 Payment Service Bank and to the Central Bank of Nigeria consumer complaints channels.
We may suspend or close an account for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud or AML risk, or where the law or 9 Payment Service Bank requires it. You may close your account in Settings. After closure we keep KYC and transaction records as required by law (see the Privacy Policy). Wallet balances are handled according to applicable rules and any instructions we can lawfully follow.
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. To the extent Nigerian law allows, Yompay is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for delays caused by banks, networks, billers, or 9 Payment Service Bank. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
How we use personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. These Terms do not replace that notice and do not treat mere use of the app as consent to marketing.
We may change these Terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days' notice in the app or by email. Continued use after that date, or acceptance in the app when we ask you to re-confirm, means you agree to the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction, without limiting any right you have to use CBN consumer-complaint processes.
